Recommendation

  • In the Section “Type of this Owner”

    My recommendation is that the following drop down list be modified to include all of the following:

      Soleproprietorship
      General Partnership
      Limited Partnership
      Limited Liability Corporation
      Corporation
      Municipality
      Trust
      Joint Venture

    Also, the following label choices:
    “Parent”
    “Subsidary of”

    We need another section:
    “Source of Data” Where did the information come from so that it can be verified and validated if required” This will add creditability.

    Product or Service provided:
    A list of field should be available to list a major list of products manufactured or service provided.

    Declared political contributions section would be a big hammer

    Thanks for your suggestions. And sorry for taking so long to answer. In fact, I thought that, as being the main developer of the plugin, I would be notified by e-mail…

    About your suggestions, I’d like to understand better where you want these fields to be added: “Soleproprietorship, General Partnership, Limited Partnership, Limited Liability Corporation, Corporation, Municipality, Trust, Joint Venture”. In its actual form, the plugin uses the shareholders that have rights to vote, to calculate the Accumulated Power Index.

    The plugin already makes the “subsidiary” and the “parent” labels automatically in the factsheet page. Did you test it locally? You will see it if you add for example a person A, an enterprise B, and finally an enterprise C which has A and B as shareholders. Then you will see the full network of relations, saying who is controller, parent, subsidiary, etc…

    And the plugin already has the section “source of information”, both for general information about the enterprise, person or public institution and for information about its shareholders. You can even attach pdf documents to confirm the source.

    Do you have any interest in using the plugin? Maybe I can assist you with any difficulties. Yesterday I upgraded the plugin to its version 0.93 with many small bug fixes and enhancements for compatibility with wordpress 4.1
