Recommendation needed for best membership plugin

  • I’m developing a paid site that would give members a work area with a standard set of features in their account, which would include a blog, etc. .

    Although the basic layout would be pretty well the same for users. I’d like to allow users to be able change their page backgrounds and a few other items.

    Which membership plugin do you think would work best for these purposes?
