I’m no WP expert, but I’ve been designing sites and ads for a while. Here are my two or three cents.
(I’m on Firefox on a mac.)
The top is rather dreary. That’s a personal preference, of course, but it’s a site for teens about the Good News. There’s nothing wrong with it being black or having a color scheme based on black, but some sort of header image would go a long way, in my opinion. Once again, personal preference.
Not personal preference:
- The slider bar on the top is a bit confusing. I thought it was to play audio.
- There are two drop-down menus for going to a category. Is there a reason that I don’t see for the duplication?
- The email search box on the right side is off a bit. It’s because you have line breaks in the code (for spacing, maybe?). Is it possible to get thte look you wantt without using the breaks? Just leave it in the paragraph tag and use css for line height?
- Also in the email box, the sign up button runs right against text box.
- On the ‘about us’ page, there is a closing paragraph tag in the middle of a sentence. I’m not sure if that is accidental or on purpose.
I hope I don’t sound too critical about your site. Here’s hoping you get a decent following and spread the good Word.
