Hello, I am trying to get a coupon code running for my client, but am running into issues with the functionality of Woocommerce’s coupon codes.

    What my client is wanting:
When any product of Category A is added to the cart, they can use a coupon code to grant free shipping to any 1 product in Category B.

Are there any recommendations for how to make this happen?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

I’m a little confused here – Shipping costs, by default, is calculated for all products in the cart regardless of the category they’re in. As such, coupon codes can either trigger free shipping or not, but it won’t be limited for a specific category.

To delineate shipping methods according to specific product categories, you’ll want to make use of an extension like https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-advanced-shipping-packages/.
