Recommendations for specific needs

I have not created a WP site yet but plan to for a client of mine. He needs the site to do several things and I need to know if there are WP plug-ins that can already to these things. If not, please recommend the easiest and most cost efficient way to achieve these things using a WordPress site. The site will be a Travel Club of sorts. We need to be able to provide a custom form for new members to fill out which will automatically assign a membership number to this new member. My client is going to be mailing new members a membership card with this Membership number on it through regular mail. We also need to be able to accept payments for new members. I was reviewing Digital Access Pass. This plug-in seems like it might be able to work but it looks like it was designed for giving members access to private documents or blogs. That’s not really the reason we would use it. I don’t believe it would automatically send the new member their number. I briefly spoke with their sales support and they did say that they could customize the database so that it would start with a larger unique id number which we could use for the membership number. I look forward to hearing if anyone has recommendations or solutions for what we are trying to do.
