recommended size for header image

  • Hey there,

    first: thank you for the good work! Keep it up!

    I was wondering what the recommended size for the header image is, especially for sites other than the main page. I understand that the image is automatically resized according to the screen size or size of the window. It is very hard for me, though, to figure out what kind of ratio etc. is best.

  • The image I included with the the is 1800 by 600. Though it will be resized on the home page to fit the browser window.

    On inner pages, it resizes as well though the height is only 300px.

    I changed the PAGE image size actually to match the header 600 px – you can do this via the theme.js query (FTP) – find code lines for a) “height” b) “data-scroll-to” (maybe save a js file backup beforehand)!

    @dyna Myte – i’m looking at the theme.js file and found both places, but both reference 300…how can i set it up to make the homepage also 300? not sure where specifically in there to change it…help?

    Did anyone get a resolution for this? I’m keen to set my home page image to 300 so its the same size as my internal pages header image.
