Recommended Upgrade Path from 2.5.1 to 2.9.2?

  • Hi folks,

    I’m trying to help a friend out by upgrading their site and plugins from a V2.5.1 site to the latest 2.9.2 setup. Is it as straight forward as usual (backup, disable plugins, replace files, upgrade, test etc.) or do I need to do any intermediate upgrade steps to get from 2.5.1 to X and then to 2.9.2?

    All advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • it should work fine
    maybe put the default theme up 1st in case present theme isn’t compatible with 2.9.2

    I ran it against a test site and it seems ok. Just going through the motions now with the live site… fingers crossed…
