  • @nicallen thanks for your inquiry!

We have an open feature request for Site Kit’s snippets to track outbound links. Currently, this would need to be configured separately. Here is documentation for reference.

Feel free to follow the request in our repository for updates on this feature for Site Kit.

Thank you I have set up Tag Manager in my google account. And installed the header and body code. Does that do the listening or is the listener as separate action required by me. Thanks

@nicallen thanks for your reply! If you’re configuring tracking outbound links via Tag Manager it would be best to reach out to Tag Manager Help for assistance on how to configure your container and Analytics tag.

You can certainly either manually place or use Site Kit’s snippet to insert Tag Manager’s container code in general though.

Thank you, i can see in my WP dashboard and Site Kit The Tag is connected, It has an Account number and Container ID present. Site Kit is still saying Analytics data is not yet available… check back later. I guess that is OK as I only just installed it. nd the site has no vistors ort external urls to track yet. I think it should begin to work, when i input some links and test further. The theme Extra from Divi that I use does have a facility to insert adSense code, but I think the above should suffice. Thanks again. Best.

@nicallen thanks for the update! Yes, once data is available on the Analytics platform it will soon surface in Site Kit’s dashboard.

Sure thing! Feel free to reach out anytime if you have further questions.

Hi I sitekit has began to record traffic. Where would i look to see how often external links were clicked?

@nicallen Since Site Kit currently does not track clicks on external links yet, this information may not be available in its dashboard. If you’ve used the current configuration options available, the Events reports in your Analytics account would be the place to see this activity. Analytics Help is a good resource for questions related to this tracking and reporting at this time.
