• Hi there, wonder if anyone can help – I am trying to find out if there is a simple way that I can obtain statistics regarding how many times images on my site have been viewed?

The site loads selections of images based on a users search criteria (i.e. image selection results are dynamic and therefore I don’t think ‘page view’ statistics will be useful in this scenario).

There will be several thousand images and they will be appearing as featured images (which makes adding specific code to individual image tags difficult / impossible). I guess that if I could just end up with a large table of stats that showed all image names and how many times each had been viewed then that would be ideal.

If this is not possible then another option might be to track how many times specific links have been loaded up onto a page? – each image will also have a specific link assigned to it so if I could track how many times that link appears on a page (please note ‘appears’ not ‘is clicked on’) then that would work too.

Any help greatly appreciated – I am a designer and not a developer so I may not be capable of implementing a solution if it is very complex (but if you are able to explain in simple terms then I can give it a go!).

    Many thanks in advance.
