• We have a database based on properties in a home owners association. The primary property owner’s email is the one used for each record, and must be unique. We feed these addresses into MailChimp via the plugin, and it works great.

We have other people that live at each of these properties. We’d like to add them to the mailing list, perhaps as child records under each property. We would then export these records to MailChimp as well, ideally with a field that defined them as “associates” rather than as “owners”, so they could be targeted separately with bulk emails.

Would the relational plugin help us maintain two or more email addresses for each record? Would this smoothly integrate into MailChimp? Is there a better way to consider doing this with Participants?

    Mahalo!

The Multi-Relational plugin is a good way to organize records when there is a “parent-child” type relationship between two records…so this could work for your case: the owner would be the “parent” record and other residents of the same address would be “child” records to the owner’s record.

The MailChimp plugin would synchronize all of them to your MailChimp account, and if you include a field that describes the record as “owner” or “associate” you’ll be able to segment those when sending out a mailing.
