“recover lost comments after moving to https” feature stopped working

I’m using Fancy Comments WordPress for its (fantastic) “recover lost comments after moving to https” feature. it used to work great, but for some reason it stopped working on my website.

Are you aware of any problem with this feature or can you advise how to fix it? (all my FB commenets are gone…)
