  • Recurring events are supported as weekly by day of week, monthly by day of week, monthly by date, or yearly by date.

There is currently no csv import support, however that is on the agenda for future updates.

Thank you for your promt response. Your plugin is just the best, beautiful and functional, I tested many. The only problem for me is that I need to place recurrent events each X number of days or weeks, where X is more than 1, just a little field missing ?? I guess I’ll have to wait impatiently for the update. Thanks again.

I am currently working on updates to the plugin. I will definitely add a more flexible recurrence to the list of things to do.

Could you add a daily recurrence feature? I have many programs, events, etc., that will occur over a long weekend or during a single week. It would be great to be able to “recur” those items, rather than enter them individually on the calendar. Love the Spiffy Calendar!

You can already set a daily recurrence by entering a start date and an end date. The start time/end time pair will apply to each day.

Rather than expanding the recurrence options, I am thinking of add a “Duplicate Event” button that would open an edit window for a new event with all fields copied from an existing event. Would that help in your situation?

That would help in the case of events that are repeated a few times, but not in my case, for example, how to register an event that will be repeated every 3 days for 1 year, as follows: Tuesday September 8 – Friday September 11, Monday September 14 – Thursday September 17, and so on.

This could be achieved by scheduling a recurring event every three days for one year, or by scheduling 3 different recurring events every three weeks for one year.

The pattern you describe I would interpret as an event that runs for 4 days and repeats every 6 days.

    Occurrence 1: Sept 8,9,10,11
    Occurrence 2: Sept 14,15,16,17
    Occurrence 3: Sept 20,21,22,23

Let me see what I can come up with.

No, I apologize, I think I did not explain it properly, the required pattern is as follows:

September 8,11,14,17,20,23,26,29, October 2,5,8,11,14 …. for one whole year.

    Regards,

    Gabriel.

No problem, your punctuation threw me off. The solution is still the same, just a one-day long event that repeats every 3 days.

I am working on a solution, but my web host is currently down so progress is slow.

Check out the latest development version of the plugin which now supports a custom days recurring event.

It works perfectly, in a clean, simple and robust manner, like everything else in your plugin.

Since I am not a programmer, it was hard for me to even find the development version and install it, but boy it was worth it! I appreciate it a lot.

You can see it working on the following link: https://miralta.net/principal/turno-de-socios/ Events may seem strange to you, but they are about daily “guards” for three different people in two different companies. I’m sure there will be more people out there with similar needs.

If I can help you with something later, for example, completing the translation into Spanish, just ask. I do not have much time but I would do it with pleasure.
