I have recurring events on my calendar– they are classes, which repeat every week at the same time. There is no end date to the classes, as I will have the same classes on the calendar for years to come.

I tried to put the same start and end date, but got the error: “Since the event is repeated, you must specify an event end date greater than the start date.”

Is there any way to do this, without specifying an end date? As of now I have teachers choosing an end date months in advance, but then their classes will eventually expire off the calendar and they won’t know to add them back…

    Thanks!

you need an end date when using Recurring Events since it’s a recurring events.

    e.g.

when you set it as Daily then you need to set the date like August 01 to August 03 so EM will create 3 individual recurring events based on that date range.

Ok thank you. Is there another way to do what I need?

Imagine that you take a piano class every Wednesday at 3pm. There is no end date to that class, because you just always take that class, year after year. That’s what I need to be able to do– my events don’t have end dates– is there any way to reflect this with Event Manager? Is there any way I can do this?

    Thank you!

As a workaround, would it work to put in an end date that is ten or more years in the future?

Yes, thanks for the suggestion. It’d be better to have a checkbox option for “no end date” but in the meantime, this is a good workaround. Thanks for the suggestion!
