Currently, we’re experiencing massive canonicalization problems with The Events Calendar and Yoast. When a recurring event is created, each new permalink for its respective event date is being canonicalized uniquely, causing duplicate content issues on a mass scale. For example, if the main event is /events/main/7/2020, the canonical will be this permalink. Each other date and corresponding permalink is getting its own canonical, i.e. /events/main/8/2020, /events/main/9/2020 and so on.

There is supposed to be a snippet for this, found here: https://gist.github.com/elimn/ae3e234aecf46753618b

We’ve tried this, then resetting Yoast and clearing cache, and it hasn’t worked.

Perhaps there is a setting somewhere that could fix this, or another snippet?
