Recurring Events Not Working

Definitely a bug somewhere. Our events seem to be ok until November when some of them start shifting earlier by one day (e.g. Wednesday events show up on Tuesday).

Did this just start after recently upgrading EM?

I can’t be certain when it occurred but it has been a few months since I first noticed it. I am using an mix of EM and EM Pro on various sites. I am using it with WP Full Calendar. At first I thought it might be the calendar since it hasn’t had an update for more than a year. However, I tried using the EM shortcodes for a default calendar and the results were the same. It seems that the sites with Pro are behaving as expected but those without are not. The recent update hasn’t corrected it. Since I posted this yesterday I had to manually update several recurring events since the calendar is relied on by the local community.

On the site where we are experiencing problems we are running the latest version of EM and a multi year old version of Pro. I have seen no response from the developers so they must be as stumped as everyone else.

I haven’t dug into the database to see if there is something funky there, but if the developer isn’t going to take ownership of the problem and communicate what is going on, then I guess we’ll have no choice but to figure it out ourselves.

I don’t think it is a calendar problem but a problem in the Recurring even generation code. The events are getting an incorrect date when the recurring event is generated.

I’m guessing there were some changes made in the last update that mucked up some of the code. Hopefully they’ll figure it out and release a maintenance update.

with the latest EM version, you can try option under Events > Settings > General > Admin Tools > Reset Timezones
