    Two questions:

    1. Is there or will there be a feature for recurring invoices (e.g. yearly, quarterly, monthly)?
    2. Do you have the possibility to save the invoices as archival PDFs (e.g. PDF/A-1)? I have multiple clients that demand this.

    Hi

    1. I think this is already available at the moment. If you have subscription products, you can invoice each time the subscription is renewed with a new order.

For example, if you are using the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin, subscription renewals can take place: daily, weekly, once a month, once a year.

    2. Could you tell me more about the scenario your customers want to achieve? In what situation do they want to use archived invoices?

Ad 1) Ah okay, I don’t use Woocommerce Subscriptions but rather thinking of maintenance contracts outside of Woocommerce.

Ad 2) Some clients are obligated to store invoices for long time. PDF/A ensures that the data is still readable after years as it is specialized for use in the?archiving?and long-term?preservation?of?electronic documents. PDF/A differs from PDF by prohibiting features unsuitable for long-term archiving, such as?font?linking (as opposed to?font embedding) and encryption. See PDF/A – Wikipedia
PDF/A imho should be used for all invoices and should be available in most PDF creation libraries (input parameter).

We also use it for medical records for clients – there it is obligatory. The same client demands invoices in PDF/A.

    Hi helmutsteiner?

    1. If you want a maintenance contract outside WooCommerce, how do you imagine the plugin should issue recurring invoices? Are you thinking of making the plugin have an invoice recurrence option that can be ticked when creating the document manually?
    2. Ok. There is a possibility, but it’s related to the PRO plugin version. This forum is related to the free version, which is why I encourage you to contact us on the official support channel.

    1. Yes, exactly. An option to be ticked and the duration in months or yearly as available in other plugins.
    2. Sure for PRO version. I just wanted to discuss this before buying in as it is necessary for me.

    Hi helmutsteiner?

    1. ?The addition of this feature is reported to programmers, but we do not know the date of its implementation. I will add you to the list of customers interested in this functionality and inform you if it happens.
    2. Ok. Please contact us on the official?support?channel. I will tell you about the possibilities.
