I am trying to get this to work with Subscriptions for WooCommerce but can’t get it to work.

I get the radio buttons or input from this plugin. But I don’t see any dropdown or similar to see recurring. I’m guessing this is part of the premium to add variations. But how is it supposed to look like with the free version?

If I chose 1 time/year for example the price of the woocommerce product just says the default price. Like $100/year, then the buttons to chose amount below. But if you click the buttons nothing changes. However, at checkout the new sum is there. Do I miss something with the setup?

    Hi robboten,

    thanks for reaching out.
The free Subscriptions for WooCommerce plugin does not support variable products (and a product with a one-time and recurring option has to be a variable product). Can you please check if you have followed the following steps? https://wcdp.jonh.eu/documentation/integrations/recurring-donations-with-woocommerce-subscriptions/

  • activate “Virtual” & “Subscription” & “Donation Product”make sure “simple product” is selectednavigate to the Tab “Subscription Settings” and set up the schedule
  • It’s possible that a recent change by the developers of Subscriptions for WooCommerce caused the bug with the “$100/year” being always visible. I hope I will have time to look into this next week.

    Best,
    Jonas

Thank you for replying! Yes, I have followed the steps provided. Also tried changing themes and removing other plugins to see if that did anything. But so far no luck. Let me know if you need anything to help you find any possible issues.

Hi robboten,

I’ve just tested it and I cannot reproduce the issue and I guess it is caused by the theme you have chosen.
If you are using a block enabled theme you can just remove the product price block. Or you just use some CSS to hide the block.

Best,
Jonas

Strange, but yeah. Did hide it with css for the moment. Thank you for investigating!

I made some swedish translations for the plugin because the buttons for example was not being translated by default. There was quite a lot to translate so I didn’t get it all done, but at least some. I hope that it could be of use.

Hi @robboten
I approved most of your strings that were pending yesterday, and corrected a few.
If you want, you could read https://wpsv.se/engagera-dig/stilguide-for-oversattningar/ to learn more about how the Swedish team works.

Thank you so much for contributing translations.
Plugin translations are managed by the WordPress community and not plugin authors so I cannot approve translations. If you want I can provide you with a Deepl API translation key to streamline the translation process. As soon as the translation package covers at least 90% of the strings, WordPress will automatically package the new translations and ship them to all installations.

@tobifjellner Thanks! Was just one I was a bit curious about. You declined translating Details for a checkout, as in customer details (this was for a step in the pagination “2. Details”). I suggested “Uppgifter”, but that was declined. “Detaljer” is translated right off, but not right in the context. For the full “Customer details” I would say “Kunduppgifter” in Swedish. What would you suggest?
