    I am getting a recurring notification by Yoast about a new taxonomy and at settings I can see it’s the “Global Sections” content type that is added by the theme “Salient”. After opening the Yoast settings page for the new content type the notification disappears, but it will always be back after one or more days.

    How could I fix this? I do not even use this content type, but the Salient theme has no option to switch it off and I also may use it later.

    I found a thread about a similar problem but there is no mention of theme Salient.

    We understand you’re receiving the notification where it says, ‘It looks like you’ve added a new type of taxonomy to your website’. We can see how this might give you some uncertainty.?

    Let’s get this sorted out!

    Regardless of whichever theme or plugin you use, this message tells us that our plugin identified one new taxonomy within the website. This notification is added to help you to check the recently added taxonomy or content type to better optimize it based on your priorities. If you believe, you have already optimized the content types and taxonomies, please follow the steps below:

    1. First, navigate to?Yoast SEO?>?Settings?->?Content Types?>?Posts?>?Search Appearance > Disable?and click the?Save changes. Once after that,?Enable?it again, then click the?Save Changes?button.
    2. Then navigate to?Yoast SEO?>?Settings?->?Categories &Tags?>?Categories?>?Search Appearance > Disable?and click the?Save changes. After that?Enable?again then click the?Save Changes button.
    3. Then navigate to?Yoast SEO?>?Settings?->?Categories & Tags?>?Tags?>?Search Appearance > Disable?and click the?Save changes. After that?Enable?again, then click the Save Changes button.
    4. If the notification still appears, please Install and activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin. Then navigate to?Tools?>?Yoast Test >?Locate the?Yoast SEO?section and then click on “Reset Notifications“. Then check if the notification is permanently removed or not.

    I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions or issues.

    Thanks. Well I can say, the procedure from steps 1-3 did not help, the next day again I saw the notification about the “new” Global Sections content type.

    I installed the test helper and clicked “Reset notifications”. For now it’s okay. I’ll write again tomorrow or in a few days if the problems persists.

    Well, despite the special treatment described above, the recurring notification about a new content type which turns out to be “Global Sections” from the theme Salient is back.

    Anything else I can do to fix it?
