    Great plugin guys thank you.

You offer every possible email apart from one when a new payment is made or upcoming.

Is it not possible to add a email sent out x number of days prior to the payment date.

    Something like:

“The invoice amount of £xx.xx will be debited from your PayPal account within the next few days.”

Which can produce another invoice on the users account like most billing companies do.

I need to do more testing but if a user adds a product to their account I want to be able to update their invoice with the latest purchases too for instance so would be great to send recurring invoices.

    Regards

Or even a thank you for your payment email on successful payment.

    Hi @sukalo,

GetPaid generates renewal invoices and sends them to your customers as soon as your payment gateway sends an IPN notification for successful renewal payment. This obviously won’t work on localhost (or if your site is redirecting visitors to a coming soon page), so we recommend testing PayPal subscriptions on a LIVE website.

You can notify your customers about upcoming renewal payments by enabling the “Renewal Reminder” emails in the GetPaid email settings.

Hi Brian, I tested the stripe plugin set to a day recurring live payment, I didn’t have this email active that you have suggested at the time.

The payment was taken successfully on day 2 but no invoice generated for account. I have now enabled this email and set up a live payment from stripe & paypal to see if a second recurring invoice is generated and emailed to me.

Will get back in 24hrs or so to confirm.

Are you testing on a website that is accessible by Stripe/PayPal? You also need to set up webhooks in Stripe so that it can notify your website about the renewal payments.

I an indeed, I used the stripe connect so it should automatically do that right? If not I’ll need to look into the web hooks on stripe somewhere.

I noticed on Stripe it did populate something in the events 1 hour before the payment was taken but never saw anything on my invoice side.

Webhooks are automatically configured ONLY if you manually provide your API keys. Otherwise, you will have to manually configure them.

You can find the necessary events that you need to configure in the GetPaid Stripe Payment settings.

I have just followed the stripe webhooks url notes on the manage payment and enabled the events.

    Does PayPal do this automatically?

Nice, If you’ve enabled IPNs in your PayPal account then GetPaid will notify PayPal on the correct URL to use for each transaction.

Thanks Brian will get that checked asap.

Thanks for the help and support, will update if issues in 24hrs but I’m sure all fine.

    Regards
