Recurring payment without customer requiring PP account

    Hi,
    I am wondering does the plugin support PayPal’s Website Payments Pro, and can handle subscriptions/recurring payments without making the customer sign up for PayPal account? The standard Paypal makes someone signing for recurring payment sign up for paypal account.
    Personally I don’t see signing up for an account as a big deal (all you’re doing is adding a password as you fill in card details) but some clients seem to be afraid of making people sign up for PayPal.

  • There does seem to be ways to do this but it’s outside the scope of the plugin. Just about all the solutions I’ve looked at required you to pay a monthly fee to paypal.

    There may be a way to do it with and API but it would mean reworking a whole chunk of code and I don’t really want to have to do this. The plugin is already complicated enough.

    Yea the Website Payments Pro does seem to have a charge of €30 a month.

    And that’s not something I can fix
