That’s what the plugin said to do originally as I recall. I changed the email on the mayerteamcolorado.com form to [email redacted] and it still doesn’t work.

Not trying to be snippy, just curious, this is one of the most commonly used plugins, is WP aware of this issue or is it just up to CF7 makers to fix it?

Also, I noted that someone else had redone their contact form. Which is easy enough for a simple contact form. Have you heard anyone else mention that solution as working?

    Much appreciated,

There is nothing wrong/broken/not_fixed with either CF7 or WordPress on this issue. I get a host of emails from CF7 forms on many websites on a few different servers every day.

Your current problems are caused by some specific issue on your site.

See Contact Form 7 Email Issues – most people that work through this are able to solve their particular problems.

Except these issues did not exist before the latest updates to WP….

And they’re happening on several different websites that have different hosting….

CF7 has now over 6 million active installs. It is inevitable that several hundred people notice problems sending emails each day due to different particular problems on their individual WP installs.

Unfortunately after each WP update, several people (like yourself), jump to the the conclusion that their problems must be due to the recent update. That has never been true and it’s not true this time as well.

j, there was absolutely no reason for this to get to the point of insults. (that reply has been deleted)

It would appears that j was initially using the plugin in a way that should have never worked. For some strange reason, that used to work, but now it doesn’t.

You’ve both presented your sides of the argument, but it’s up to the developer of the plugin to decide if this is a bug worth fixing or not.

James, thank you for the moderation. I’ve been watching these threads and posted a sticky thread about that: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/red-border-error-issue-on-wordpress-441

So far, most of the cases have turned out to be caused by user’s misconfiguration in their mail setup (including this case, obviously). It’s not a bug at all from any angle. The only thing we can do now is encouraging users to review their mail setup.

Buzztone has kindly helped out users on so many threads every day. I’m really sad to see people insulting support volunteers who try to help them.

    Thanks for clarifying, Takayuki!
