• When uploading images in either Firefox, IE or Safari, I can upload the image, see it in the gallery and editor, but when it is inserted into the post it either shows as a red cross in IE or just blank in any of the other ones.

I can edit the image, but noting ever appears when its live or in the visual preview box.

I’ve tried on home laptop and work computer – no difference – HELP PLEASE!!!!!

  • Are the images being uploaded to the correct folder in wp-content? Have you checked the uploads path on Settings -> Media?

    Hi,

They are uploading into the gallery, and when you look in the gallery you still don’t see the image, in I.E. you still get the red cross.

The only time you see the image is if you are in the image editor bit and you specifically click on edit. It doesn’t appear in the Thumbnail bit, just the main bit.

Thanks so much – am tearing hair out!

No – I asked if the images were the images being uploaded to the correct folder in wp-content. You need to check this using FTP or use whatever file management application your host provides.

Ah, sorry OK, will check, this now goes outside my capabilities and I need to find out. Thanks for your help so far, one day it was fine, and the next it just stopped working.
