Redirect a permalink?

What slider are you using? Is it part of plugin or part of your theme? Whichever it is, that is who to specifically ask this to.

Yes, this one works well:

It uses PHP for the redirection.

You could setup a redirect rule in your .htacess instead.

My point in having you ask the theme vendor is to have them advise how to alter or update/code a fix for this particular theme (so the url of the attached featured could be modified easily)

Since it also works for Custom Post Type.
