Redirect after success with url parameter

Hi

i am successfully posting to a rest service and recieving a successful response. i can display this response as the message on the form however i would like to redirect to another page on my site passing the response as the url parameter so this can be displayed on this page.

could you possibly give me a basic example of a hook that would do this?
