URL to bbp profile

I want to generate the link to all the listed bbp profile and not the author. I am editing in the child theme: simple-user-listing/content-author.php

I have tried to use the php command: echo bbp_get_user_profile_url:

<?php echo bbp_get_user_profile_url($user->ID); ?>

But it keeps returning the author/profile-id and not the forums/users/profile-id.
