• I have an old WP blog (blog.mywebsite.com) that I want to redirect with all it’s posts to the blog page on my new WP site(www.mywebsite.com/blog). The blog WP installation is in a folder that is in the same root directory as the new site. I’ve created a redirect from blog.mywebsite.com to the new location, https://www.mywebsite.com/blog.

I am getting a 500 error message for any old blog post address, ie. blog.mywebsite.com/blog-post. Do I have the correct redirect to accomplish this, or is there another that I should be using for posts?

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Are the redirects used at the old site? They need to be there and not at new site.

    Thanks for responding Pioneer Valley.

Yes, I added a redirect using the function offered at the host. I didn’t create individual redirects for all posts.
