redirect chain

Hi, i have been told that i have a redirect chain on my website. To be honest I have never heard it about this before. I have been told that it is slowing my website down, especially on mobile versions.

I have read this article here https://www.validbot.com/tests/82/redirect-chain.html which does not make much sense to be honest. can anyone let me know if this is an important factor and what i should do to solve this.
