Hello, we designed post-form pages that give a much better experience than the text message that replaces the form after submission. But, the Return/Thanks URL is not working. Some other forms did successfully redirect about a year ago, but those aren’t on our site anymore. I just tried one of them on an unpublished page, and it did not redirect now.

Any insight into why the redirect isn’t working and what we can do?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’d have to see your form settings to say more, but it appears the redirect code is not even being output to the page.

The full redirect URL is in the Return/Thanks URL field. As the sample below the field shows.

In the Brilliant Web-to-Lead Settings tab, I don’t see anything there that would relate to this redirect field.

There is a message in the Success Message field. I tested both with and without a success message there, thinking if we fill in that field, does it over-ride the Return/Thanks URL. But even when the Success Message field is blank, the form does not redirect.

So having followed the directions, I would think this would work.

Meanwhile, I’ll try creating a web-to-lead form directly from Salesforce and test that.

I see you have a paid support option, what additional support would that provide? Would that support take the steps to analyze and solve the issue for us? It wasn’t completely clear and we’re asked to submit a credit card before knowing this.

    That sounds correct.

Redirects are form specific and have no global options at present.

No, the redirect field overrides the success message (or more accurately supplements it). The redirect code is output right after the sucess message.

And usually it does – but as we cannot test every site configuration sometimes things don’t work as expected.

Paid support is for when we have to troubleshoot non plugin issues (like theme or plugin conflicts, troubleshooting specific configurations or integrations).

Okay. So there seems to be no clear path to a solution for this. Redirect is important for both user experience and a page to trigger tracking/audience build. I will likely switch forms to Typeform as their redirect works on our site and it integrates with Salesforce.

    Sounds like a plan.
