Redirect is not working when url has 3+ slashes

When URL has 3+ slashes redirect is not working to 404 page. it redirects to the latest post instead.
example:
https://sonasoft.com/sasdfasdf/asdfasdf/asfdasdfshould go to 404 ( https://sonasoft.com/404 ), but shows post page.
