Redirect Loop

Hi @glideagency

Does it work when you put the Login in the https://dev.glideagency.com/constable-care/login/ and not under the /account/ page?

This could be a conflict with the UM Pages settings.

@champsupertramp that doesn’t work either. It seems to redirect back to the account/login page which is already stuck in a redirect loop.

Could you please provide a screenshot of the UM Access settings? Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > Access.

Just to clarify, we are only needing to restrict content on certain pages, and in general the rest of the site is accessible to the public.

The UM Pages settings look correct. What’s the new URL of the Login Page on your site? It shows 404 when i view this page: https://dev.glideagency.com/constable-care/login/

It looks like the Login page still has the Account page as a parent page. Please remove the Login page’s parent in the WP Admin > Pages. Since the Account page is only accessible by Logged in users, it will cause a redirect loop if you make the Account page a parent page of the Login page.

@champsupertramp thanks so much for that info, that seems to have fixed the redirect issue now. It was just the default setup so I was not aware that should be changed.

I just have one more question – Currently the pages with restricted content are shown as ‘Restricted Content’ in the menu for non-member users?

We still want the page names to show normally but then for users to be redirected if they aren’t logged in.

Is this possible?

Please try adding this code snippet to show the title:

add_filter( 'um_ignore_restricted_title', '__return_true' );

You can add it to your theme/child-theme’s functions.php file or use the Code Snippet plugin to run the code.
