Redirect Loop: Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting…

  • I upgraded to WP 2.7 and everything went smoothly except now my home page doesn’t resolve, displaying an error:

    Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

    Does anyone know why? I have 8 WP blogs, 4 of them worked, the others received the alert above. Some of mine, when transferring, couldn’t transfer over a java folder withing the includes folder also.

    Any help appreciated.

  • That happened to me once, and it turned out to be that, for an unknown reason, my htaccess file has been rewrited and was trying a faulty URL rewrite, forcing another URL instead of the right one.

    Unless you have a fine-tuned htaccess that cannot be generated again by your wordpress blogs, I suggest you try again with an old backup htaccess file…
