Redirect loop with wildcards

I’ve read the documentation on this but I find it’s so much information and confusing.

I’m trying to setup a “wild card” redirect so if anyone tries to visit “/services/anything_here” it redirects to “/services/”

I tried “^/services/.*” to “/services/” but this creates an infinite redirect loop, what do I do. I tried it without the “^” and got the same results.
