It is incredible how a plugin designed to speed up websites can make so much damage in your load time. I want to believe that this is a bug and not an extremely poor JS redirect implementation.

Will this be solved in a future update?

    Hello @promes

Thank you for the support topic, Please share your site URL using this form privately along with Site Health information, so we can investigate the Delayed redirection issue on your site.

The AMP Mobile redirection script added on the non-AMP page could be affected by third-party plugins or applications etc.

    Please check the following points:
    1) Make sure that the AMP Mobile redirection script is added in Head and not in the footer.
    2) Make sure that The AMP Mobile redirection script is not minified with other scripts using the JS minification and combination plugin.
    3) Also, please make sure that there is no delay in the execution of the script (eg: Rocket Loader by Cloudflare delays script loading until all resources are loaded images, fonts, text etc. )

I wonder if we should default to doing server-side redirection instead of client-side redirection. While we did client-side redirection by default with the expectation it would have the least compatibility problems with caches, it seems the performance problems may be outweighing the benefits.
