well.. now it is not redirecting at all. not even by typing the url into the address bar :-/

Can you temporarily put a Dutch language on your site so I can try it here with a Dutch browser?

Now it redirects to /nl

Just switched back. Redirecting is working as long as you type in the URL manually. For any kind for link it is not working…
