Redirect to browser language when coming from Google

  • Hej there,
    I’m a bit confused ??

    So .. I am using qtranslate-X and I’m totally happy with it! Working fine, redirecting to Browser language ‘nd all this stuff.

    But: If I google my site and then click on my site link the redirection to the browser language does not work.

    So googling “KOMM MIT” shows https://www.komm-mit.com as first hit. I click on it, my browser is a german one – BUT the english version is shown.

    Cookies and Cache deleted before

    Any idea?

    I come with my Dutch browser to the English (default) language.

    Difficult to test if no content is in Dutch…

    hmm, that’s weird as you should be redirected to the nl page. did you clean your cookies (maybe some left from older tests)?

    I just changed my browsers’ language to nl. I come to the dutch page (komm-mit.com/nl) with the content “Onze verontschuldigingen, dit bericht is alleen beschikbaar in Fran?ais, Kroatisch, Russisch, Italiano, Espa?ol, English en Deutsch.”

    clear approach to your website, no cookies etc.

    It dependents on several factors but….. ???

    quite funny..
    if you search komm mit at BING, the first entry is “www.komm-mit.com/de” (in my case) –> correct page.

    the second hit (after the site links) is “www.komm-mit.com” (with no forwarding to DE at all).

    Google also gives an entry “www.komm-mit.com/de” now ..

    BUT: Clicking on a link “www.komm-mit.com” on any website does not redirect at all … ?!?! :-S

    Yes, I have also tried. Goes to “www.komm-mit.com”

    No redirection.

    I will put a link here on a Dutch page and see what happens.
