Redirect to custom URL after login not working

Does your user have one role or several?

I created a test user that has a role of “Subscriber” only.

Why I try logging in to the user portal with the test user creds, it takes me to the home page of the site. No indication of being logged in until I go directly to the login or portal URL. Thanks.

By default, users are redirected to the profile page. Maybe you changed the user role settings to redirect to the home page?

Have you “Enable Members Directory” in UM Settings -> General -> Users ?

No – that setting has not been enabled. Does it need to be for the redirect to work?

Apparently it does need to be enabled! I enabled it and tried again and I was redirected appropriately. I appreciate it!
