Instead of the download button taking a user to a page that says they must be logged in, is there a way to redirect the button to a login page? Thanks!

Hi, currently that is not available in the plugin. I have submitted a message to the plugin developers to investigate further your request.

    Kind regards

Yes, we have plans to add an option in the settings so you can specify a login page’s URL. The plugin can then use it to create a link and show it with that message.

Hi @garryks, have you checked the following option Login Page URL under Download -> Settings -> General Options?

    Is this what you mean?

    Thank you

Yes, thats it. Is there any information to say what is required to set up the login page.

Simply read what it says underneath this field. Then add your URL and that is it. It is very straight forward.

Let me know if you need more information.

    Kind regards

Hello, I have a question. Is it possible to make some files downloadable and other not for not logged users. The option in the settings is valid for all the files uploaded. As you made for the “PHP Dispatching”, which is repeated in every file uploaded, you can do for the “Only Allow Logged-in Users to Download”. I set the file as private, also set for a specific role, but it doesn’t work, as a not logged user I can download (through a shortcode) the file. Any advice? Really thanks

I use the Tips & Tricks “eMembership” plugin (not free, but very good value/asset).

Then I set all of the downloads (using the plugin discussed here) as requiring a free membership.

PM me if you want to see an example of how it works.

Hi @erica1987, you can use the plugin mentioned above by @dnuttall or you can use the following plugin Simple Membership. This allows you to control who can access the content of a page or post.

Let me know if you need more information.

    Kind regards

    Thanks for the replies.
I already use the plug-in UserPro and I tried using their shortcode and it works.
I solved the issue, I wasn’t expected that my problem depended from another plug-in.
    Thanks for the clue
