Redirect to URL + append vars from url

yes, sure! My ajax login is placed on https://domain.net/login/

When trying to access the page https://domain.net/codes/?code=HRNWWY01 which is protected by https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/contexture-page-security/ the user is being directed to https://domain.net/login/

In the address-bar the following url is being displayed then:
https://domain.net/login/?redirect_to=http%253A%252F%252Fdomain.net%252Fcodes%252F%253Fcode%253DHRNWWY01

As you see there is an additional var “code” (with the value HRNWWY01 in this case).

Is the code variable the same each time or it dynamically generated?

If you mean the value of the variable (HRNWWY01 in the example above), yes that′s a unique for every user visiting the site.

The variable (“code”) is always the same.

Given it’s a different value each time, I don’t think there’s any way to do this with Login With Ajax directly.

The Redirection works fine, so I think Login With Ajax already gets the redirect_to value from the URL correctly.

Wouldn′t it be possible just to get any other variables and their values from the url and append them to the URL on redirection?

Have you tried testing with the security plugin you mentioned deactivated? Maybe that’s causing problems.

Ok, maybe I should start from scratch:

I′ve got a small game were users get an individual code when they win the game. This code can be used to take part in a sweepstake. So on the page were the code is being displayed there is a button “go to sweepstake”.

1. The link of the button is https://domain.net/codes/?code=HRNWWY01
2. The page https://domain.net/codes/ is for logged in users only
3. If the user is not logged in he is being redirected to https://domain.net/login/?redirect_to=http%253A%252F%252Fdomain.net%252Fcodes%252F%253Fcode%253DHRNWWY01
4. On https://domain.net/login/ there is the Login With Ajax form
5. Login With Ajax global redirect is set to /codes/ (otherwise it does no redirection and user stays on the same page)
6. So after a login the user just get′s to https://domain.net/codes/ although this should be https://domain.net/codes/?code=HRNWWY01

So my question is how can I setup Login With Ajax to redirect users to the url that is set in the url as variable (redirect_to=http%253A%252F%252Fdomain.net%252Fcodes%252F%253Fcode%253DHRNWWY01).

The basic WordPress does this – so I thought this would be possible with Login With Ajax, too. I think your login is much better than the basic wp-login – and has better options and design!

I guess I′m doing something wrong and hope you can help – really tried a lot already to get this done.

As I said originally, I don’t think there’s any way to do this with Login With Ajax directly.

Maybe try setting LWA to not redirect after login and instead run your own redirect after a successful login?

Maybe one of the next versions could have an option to append vars ()

Something like this:

$redirect .= urlencode($key ). ‘=’ . urlencode($value) . ‘&’;
}
