• There’s one thing bugging me in the latest version of the plugin.
The plugin is offering multiple ways to set up a 301 redirect towards https.
I already 301 redirect to https but I don’t use .htaccess or the WP method, I just do it from the domain’s Apache virtual host file.
The plugin obviously can’t detect that and it prompts me to use one of the included methods.
I think a way to disable this warning or just be able to tell the plugin “I’m using virtual host” would be great.
    Thanks for this excellent plugin.

    Hi @brooner,

Because there can be various reasons a user wouldn’t want or need a .htaccess redirect, this notice can be dismissed by clicking the “X” in the dashboard. When you do, the notice will disappear.

Let me know if this helps!

Yes, if you mean the X showing up in the plugin’s own dashboard (the one listing settings with either a green check or a warning), I’ve seen it but it’s there only if you have one of the redirects enabled. If you disable them all (as I said, I don’t need any) the X is not there anymore. I know it’s no biggie, but it’d be nice to have a way to make it disappear.
The sentence I’m talking about is something like this (I see it in italian): “Enable .htaccess or WordPress redirection in settings to create a 301 redirect.”
This is the one with no X to disable it.

Ah, I understand. This was setup this way because it’s assumed you always need at least one redirect, and even if you already have another redirect the wp redirect can be safely enabled because it can’t cause issues when enabled: In your case it won’t ever fire because each request will already be on https. When enabled, you can dismiss the other notice.

But I’ll add it to the feature requests for the next release.

    Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks a lot for listening on a very small issue. I’ll just enable the WP redirect and disable the warning then.
