‘Redirected Links’ not displaying redirect URL

    WP 5.4
    BLC 1.11.12

    on the ‘Redirected Links’ tab/page, the URL in the ‘URL’ column seems to always be the same URL as that displayed in the ‘Redirect URL’ column

    in some cases thee URLs shouldn’t be listed at all because they the URLs are the same – for example:
    URL: https://www.reactos.org/
    Redirect URL: https://www.reactos.org/

    in other cases the Redirect URL is not accurate – example:
    URL: https://blogs.seattletimes.com/uwelectioneye/2012/11/06/possible-voter-fraud-in-pennsylvania/
    Redirect URL: https://blogs.seattletimes.com/uwelectioneye/2012/11/06/possible-voter-fraud-in-pennsylvania/
    actual redirected URL: https://www.seattletimes.com/

    in the latter case there is no ‘fix redirect’ option available

    you haven’t heard from me because, unless you require additional info, i had nothing more to add other than that i/we have been waiting 5 months for this fix

    Patrick meant “we don’t have…” I’m afraid. That’s unintentional mistake by my colleague and I apologize for misunderstanding and creating confusion.

    I’m afraid we don’t have an ETA and I can’t predict release for this. There’s some quite huge “refactor”/”rewrite’ going on to provide a whole new experience – nicer looking, more universal and more stable in future but it requires a lot of development work to “redo” the plugin from the ground.

    Since there’s a major update of the plugin involved that requires almost full rewrite of the plugin code, we still don’t have an ETA on this.

    I’ll mark this ticket as resolved for now as we only need to wait for the update but if you come with any follow-up questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Hi @werdpres,

    Thank you for following up with us.

    Our Dev Team are still working on this but currently no ETA at this time for the major release. As mentioned by my peers, since this fix was not just going to be added to the current plugin code, our Developers focused on creating a whole new update on the whole core of the plugin(major rewrite) in order to provide a better user experience and fix this and other pending issues. We appreciate your patience and feel free to follow up with us in case you have any additional questions.
