    Hi,

Is there a way I can set up a specific page to which blacklisted users/IP addresses get diverted? Especially with DHCP addresses, sometimes people end up blocked because the previous “inhabitant” was submitting questionable URLs.

In this context I was wondering if it would be possible to introduce a 3rd setting for blocking. There is the “Temp” option in the Firewall 404 list, of which I have no idea how long it will last, and then there is permanent. It would be nice if there was an advanced option “timed” of which the duration could be set by the admin, for say, a month.

At present I only block permanently, but in some cases it would be nice to have the timed option.

    Cheers!

Hi batteriesInc in regards to your comment…

There is the “Temp” option in the Firewall 404 list, of which I have no idea how long it will last, and then there is permanent.

If you are referring to Firewall -> 404 Detection tab, you will notice the following setting; Time Length of 404 Lockout (min):. This is where you set the time you wish to lock the IP address.

In regards to the following question….

Is there a way I can set up a specific page to which blacklisted users/IP addresses get diverted?

If you are still referring to the above 404 Detection then you can create a page and add the URL of the page created in the following field 404 Lockout Redirect URL:. You can always hide the page.

Must not have had enough coffee this morning – it’s all there. Duh.

    Thanks!
