Redirecting entire wp-content folder uploads

I moved the wp after building it from
https://www.zzz.com/1/ folder to the root
now some of the images still point to the content folder in /1/ folder not the one in the root
for example I want
https://zzz.com/1/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/artist.jpg
to point to
https://zzz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/artist.jpg
without the zzz.com/1/
tried your excellent plugin in every combination and can not figure this out,
my guess is that everything past:https://zzz.com/1/wp-content/uploads/
needs to be redirected,
I have successfully setup other folder redirections,
please advisep.s. I did use velvet plugin to make this change to the database
and the plugin did report success on images and attachments, but i still see images with /1/ folder url.
