Redirecting my homepage

  • The plug-in was working fine…until it started redirecting my homepage back to the site from which I just transferred the domain.

    I’m sorry to hear about your issue but that would imply 301 Redirects would know the IP of the old server and have the ability to change the domain’s DNS records to point it back to the old server. No WordPress plugin can do that ??

    I switched redirect tools and copied and pasted all the same exact links and now the homepage doesn’t redirect. I have no idea what the difference is, but I believe it was something about your tool. The homepage redirect was not happening before installation and isn’t happening after. Hope that helps spot a bug if there is one.

    It most likely sounds like a DNS propagation issue, and the browser just had the old IP stored in it’s cache.

    But I’m not going to argue over it ?? Have a great weekend!
