So I have been using the plugin for a few years now and it’s been pretty great.

BUT, there is an issue I haven’t been able to figure out…

If you go to a redirect in the “Redirections” screen and click “Edit”, you can change the Target URL to something different. But it doesn’t seem to work. It always redirects to the original Target URL that was entered when the redirect was created, not the new one put in during editing.

The work around I’ve used in the past is to change the Source URL and put a 1 or something after it, but then I have to go in and change the html where I’m using that redirect. For a global change I need to make now, that is not an option anymore.

I have tried caching and everything.

Is this something you know how to fix??
    Thanks

ok I tried it in another browser and it did redirect to the new updated url

so i have to figure out a way to force customers to see the new version and not the old.

That has nothing to do with Redirection though.

    Thanks for a great app!

A 301 is a permanent redirect. If you don’t want that then you can use a 302, and you will be able to change the target easily.

If that is not suitable then you can change the time a redirect is cached from the options page.
