• Hello!

Thank you for your plugin:) It fixes many issues with qtranslate and woocommerce. However I have some problems and hope you can help.
I work on the website in 3 languages: polish (default), english and german

    wp 3.8.1
    qtranslate Version 2.5.39
    woocommerce – Version 2.1.5

1)1st problem is with redirecting to the default (polish) language that happen on the my account page where the following links always take people to the pages in polish (even if they are logged in on the english or german site)

-edit your password and account details
    -sign out
    -view order
    -edit billing address
    -edit shipping address

    2) Another major problem with redirection to the default language is that after you put an order and lets say you are on the English version you are redirected to the polish Order confirmation page..however you get email in English which is OK

Are these common issues or something that can be fixed.

    I will appreciate your help!

    Thank you:)

    Anna

    Hi Anna,

well, there seems to be something strange with either your or my setup.
Unfortunately, I can’t confirm any of the problems you listed.

Every link on the My Account page(s) leads to the where it should, in the current language.

And if I set the language to English (which is not my default language) I get redirected to the English checkout pages as well as receive an email in English.

What version of the plugin are you running?
Are there any other plugins that might interfere?
Did you test with all other plugins (except for WooCommerce and qTranslate, of course) deactivate, and a default theme (such as Twenty Twelve)?

    Kind regards,
    Thorsten

    Hi Thorsten,

Thank you for your reply. I’ve made more tests and as you suggested I’ve deactivated all the plugins apart from WooCommerce, qTranslate and
IM8 qTranslate WooCommerce (version 1.3). I have tested it with Twenty Fourteen theme and I still have the same issues. On the My Account page all the links lead to the default language and the confirmation page is also always in the default language for me.

Have you got any other idea how this can me solved?

    Many thanks,
    Anna

    Hi again,

I just tested with Twenty Fourteen too, however, I still have only links as I would expect them to be. I even activated Polish (in order to have a second non-default language besides English).

Is this site live, or are you developing/testing locally?

    This is pretty strange.

    Kind regards,
    Thorsten

    Thank you Thorsten,
This site is under the development. I am happy to disable everything again and give you the details if you wish to have a look and test it. Please let me know.

    Hi Anna,

I don’t need any admin access, for now. I just wanted to have a short look at your shop, that’s all.

    Kind regards,
    Thorsten

    Hi Thorsten
OK, I have disabled my holding page so you can have a look. I’ve also updated im8 qtranslate woocommerce plugin to 1.4 , but the same problems occurs.

    here is the link: https://grafikasuper.pl/

Please let me know once you have a look so I can turn on the Maintenance Mode as I don’t want people to visit this website at this stage.

    Many thanks!

    Hi Anna,

could you set up a customer account and send me the credentials? I didn’t think of that I have to be logged in to see the correct My Account pages. Sorry for that. ??

BTW, I noticed three stray </div> on your web site. When you view the source of https://grafikasuper.pl/moje-konto/ it is lines 76, 223 and 274. I don’t think it’s the reason for that, however, I just wanted to let you know.

What’s definitley part of the problem is that your theme (or another plugin) does some redirects and AJAX requests. If you inspect the link “Lost your password?” on https://grafikasuper.pl/en/moje-konto/ you see that it references https://grafikasuper.pl/en/moje-konto/zapomniane-haslo?lang=en which is correct. If you click the link, however, you get redirected to just https://grafikasuper.pl/moje-konto/zapomniane-haslo/

    Kind regards,
    Thorsten

Okay, all links are rendered correctly (as they should and as I expected). The problem must come with either the theme or another plugin.

I must say it is very strange that this is the same when you deactivate all other plugins and activate Twenty Fourteen (for instance).

    Could you do this again?

    Thanks,
    Thorsten

Thank you for checking this. Now there is only 2014, woocommerce, qtranslate and im8. When I test it, I still have wrong redirections.

    Hi Thorsten,

Did you have a chance to look at my website with only 2014, woocommerce, qtranslate and im8? I couldn’t keep the site without holding screen for long, but if you will be so kind to investigate and help me with my incorrect redirection problem please let me know.

I hope to hear from you soon,

    Thank you & kind regards

    Hi Anna,

yes, I did have a chance to briefly test what you described. Of course, you are right. When clicking any link (that initially has the correct language info built in) you are eventually being redirected to the same page, but in your default language.
I suppose this has something to do with your WooCommerce settings, because you and I have been running the same setup (theme, plugins, plugin versions) and it’s working for me but not for you.

I will test this in the next couple days and get back to you next week.

    Kind regards,
    Thorsten

    Dear Anna,

I spent some time investigating what could be causing this. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to recreate the situation you are facing. No matter what, the links on my website always have the correct language information, and clicking them just leads me to where they point at (without any redirect whatsoever).

Sorry, but I’m pretty much at a loss.

    Kind reagards,
    Thorsten
