Redirecting wordpress to new self hosted site

I’m not sure about the redirect. Is this redirect service from WordPress.com of your hosting provider?
If it’s WordPress.com, you should ask them. This support forum is for self hosted site.

I do know that wordpress.com offers a transfer service – https://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/

it might be worth spending the $$ on that and getting it done properly by experts. ??

I already did a guided transfer. This site redirect says it will make it so people clicking on my old blog ( azcubed.wordpress.com ), will be automatically taken to my new blog, DomesticSuperhero.com

I want to make sure that it won’t just redirect the homepage, but all the specific post pages as well…. does that make sense?

Yes, that makes sense.
You should ask the folks at https://en.support.wordpress.com/
though, they would know better and would be able to confirm things.
