Redirection between two pages

Hi I’m using the current build of Blightly explorer I found that I have a [bex_folder] on two pages and a problem resulting from their differences.
One being my main page which is actually uploaded onto the page using the pages in widgets plugin ( https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/pages-in-widgets/ ) so that i can use Blightly on my main pages theme.
And the second one that’s on its own page that is not forced onto the front/main page of my website its a standard wordpress page.The main problem occurs with the blighly explorer on the front/main page of my website, I’m able to open and explore new folders within the plugin. however when I go to download a file on this main page no download occurs. Rather it redirects me to a blank page eg: https://website*/?file=.gitignore. This is concerning as on the other page I have with blightly it works flawlessly but its links work differently as such a file would end up having a download link of eg: https://webite*/index.php/page-name-on-board-computer-source-files/?pagename=page-name-on-board-computer-source-files&file=.gitignore
If there is anything I can do differently to fix this or any work-arounds it would be greatly appreciated.
