Redirection error on sign-up form
-
I’ve added a new sign-up form as a shortcode and embedded it on all pages just above the footer on my site. However, when I or a visitor tries to fill the form in, it comes up with a redirection error.
The page isn’t redirecting properly
An error occurred during a connection to knitproneedles.co.uk.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
The form is set to display success or fail within the page so shouldn’t be redirecting at all. The issue is occurring across devices and browsers.
When I messaged for help, the chat bot suggested the following:
Clear Caching: If you are using a caching plugin, try clearing the cache from your plugin settings. Additionally, clear any server-side caching and CDN cache like CloudFlare.
I’ve cleared the cache – I use Litespeed with Redis and Chemicloud, so I’ve cleared all.
Check Cookie Settings: Ensure that your website is not blocking or refusing to accept cookies. This can usually be adjusted in your browser settings or within your website’s cookie settings.
There are no other issues with cookies and they are set to be accepted.
Check Redirection Rules: Review any redirection rules set up on your website or within your hosting environment to ensure they are not conflicting with the subscription process.
I’ve checked all redirection rules, and there are none that affect Mailpoet.
Contact Hosting Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to your hosting support to check if there are any server-side configurations causing the redirection problem.
They’re at a loss too.
Sign-ups through the checkout are still working, and my old form didn’t have any issues. I’ve used the form builder in Mailpoet so I don’t see why a new one would cause a problem.
