    Dear team,

on Facebook an user can check the shop and click on one product.
As checkout method the Woo-shop is selected.
So on product-site on Facebook there is a button to buy the product in Woo-shop.
This button links directly to the cart of Woo-shop, putting the product in the cart in same time.

Question: Is it possible that this link redirects to the product-page on Woo-shop?
Are there such settings or does is need coding?

    Facebook for Woocoomerce v 2.0.1

    Thanks in advance

  • Hey @tracktor ,

Thank you very much for reaching out to us. Happy to further assist you with this.

It should be possible to change the settings of your Facebook Shop so that the product page is used instead of the Checkout page. You can find more information on how to make this change by clicking here.

Would you please let me know if you’ve been able to follow the instructions whenever you have a chance to go through them?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best regards,

    Hello Pit,

    thanks for sharing the link.
The problem is that there is no “Shop” listed on settings page on my Facebook.

    Hey @tracktor ,

Thank you very much for your response.

Due to some recent changes to the UI of Facebook, this setting has been disabled for some users. Since the new UI will be finalized soon for all users, though, we’ve come up with a workaround that you can consider using if you’d like. Please be aware of a couple notes:

You can view the snippet here: https://gist.github.com/mburnette/97e5de5fb6a300ed5b4f336ee21badec#file-change-checkout-urls-to-product-urls-php

Would you please let me know if this helpful? Anything else I can help you with?

    Best regards,

    Pit

    Hello Pit,

thank you very much for your polite help.

I added the snippet but it did not work ??
Facebook users still get directly to cart instead of product page on website.

    Link to Facebook shop

    Hey @tracktor ,

Thank you very much for your response and I’m sorry to hear that the snippet didn’t work as expected.

As a next step, would it be possible to let me know which method you’ve used to add the snippet? Did you use the Code Snippets plugin or did you add it manually? I’d like to check that it has been correctly configured if that’s okay with you. ??

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for reply, Pit.

I used the free Code Snippets plugin you told.

Maybe I forgot something… of course you can have a look and check.
    Link

    Hey @tracktor,

Tamara here, stepping in for Pit. I’m happy to help you here. ??

Unfortunately, we have found that this code snippet doesn’t work in all cases. Howeevr, it can sometimes take Facebook a little while to sync up and reflect all new changes. As such, would you mind letting about 48 hours pass since you’ve added this code snippet and then checking once more to see if the links do get updated?

If the issue persists, As a next step, I’d like to have a look at how the feed file has been set up. Would you please?share the plugin’s feed file with me when you have a few moments?

This file can be found by connecting to your server via FTP under the path?/wp-content/uploads/facebook_for_woocommerce and you can upload it to WeTransfer for free and without an account.

    Thanks,
    Tamara

Im also having the same issue with this and there’s still no shop option… I sell personalized items so going to cart is no good for me at all! is there any update on how to work around this?

    many thanks
