Redirection Plugin acting strange when baesd on how you enter the URL
-
This is in regards to the “Redirection” plugin.
I’m having very strange redirection behavior after moving my site to a new server. I have updated WordPress, the template, and the plugin. This is what’s happening below. I am naming each situation with a different (letter) to clear up references…
(A) If I type in to the address bar FRESHLY: https://mamluftcodance.org/chicago/
it redirects correctly to (B): https://mamluftcodance.org/13chicago/(C) If I leave the above resulting address as is, but erase the “13” in that address [which leaves you with the same exact URL as (A) – https://mamluftcodance.org/chicago%5D, I get a page not found error.
(D) If after I have been redirected at least once on any post in my site and I replace everything after the domain, with a known, otherwise-working POST url that also redirects, then I get a Page not found error. If I type that address in fresh, it works. This only happens with POSTS. Pages will work fine.
(E) For some reason, after one successful re-direct, on SOME pages, if I replace everything after the ‘.org/’ with a URL that would lead to a redirection post, it does work, and sometimes it does not work (page not found).
